Maryland Charter School Task Force

Ten years after the creation of Maryland's charter school program, this report examines the strengths and weaknesses of Maryland's charter school law--ranked second worst in the country. A bill to create a task force to study charter school reform options died in the final hours of Maryland's 2012 legislative session due to lack of time to vote on the bill. However, understanding the need for this study, MarylandCAN in partnership with the Baltimore Community Foundation (BCF) worked to create a task force with similar goals. This report states the findings of this task force.
